(Baltimore, MD) — Ervin Santana tossed a two-hitter to lead the Twins to a 2-0 win over the Orioles in Baltimore. Santana walked two and struck out six en route to improving to 7-and-2.  Brian Dozier homered and Byron Buxton smacked an RBI single for first-place Minnesota, which has won its last three.

(St. Paul, MN) — Sylvia Fowles scored 21 points to lead the Lynx to an 80-78 win over the Connecticut Sun in the opener of a home-and-home set in Minnesota. Fowles also had 13 rebounds and four blocks for the Lynx, who improved to 4-and-0. The teams meet again in Connecticut on Friday.

(Tulsa, OK) — North Dakota State will take on South Dakota State in the opening round of the Summit League Baseball Tournament today in Tulsa. First-pitch is at noon. The Bison finished 29-and-23, including 19-and-11 in conference play to earn the two-seed.

(Eden Prairie, MN) — Organized Team Activities are underway for the Vikings. Minnesota held the first of 10 OTA sessions yesterday. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw during the workout as he continues his recovery from a devastating leg injury. Bridgewater missed all of last season due to a torn ACL and dislocated left knee.

(Chicago, IL) — NFL owners are approving several rule changes. Overtime will be shortened from 15 minutes to 10 minutes. Teams will also be allowed to bring back two players from injured reserve during the season instead of just one. Owners also voted to eliminate the waves of preseason roster cuts and go with one deadline to set the 53-man roster.
