Northwestern Minnesota ruled at the State High School League Robotics Tournament; Held Saturday at Mariucci Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
The winning alliance went to Warroad, along with East Ridge/Woodbury and Duluth East. It was the first championship for Warroad, although the Warriors had placed in standings in 2015 and 2016.
Greenbush-Middle River took second; joining forces with Edina and Prior Lake. It was another great season for the Gators, defending a 2016 State Title.
And Thief River Falls placed third in the competition; aligned with Irondale and the Math and Science Academy of Woodbury.
